This gathering is an invitation to pause at that threshold,
to resist the impulse to rush forward,
and to remain for a moment in attentive presence.

Entering a new year is not about accumulating resolutions or projecting ourselves into an imagined future. It is an invitation to reshape our relationship with time — to move from time that carries us unconsciously to time that is consciously inhabited.
Guided by the poetry of the great Sufi master Rumi, whose verses open spaces where thought falls silent, this evening unfolds as an inward crossing into listening, presence, and depth.
This year, we gather online, each from our own threshold, sharing the first Café Rumi of 2026, alone or with loved ones, in the quiet intimacy of our own space.
Through poetry, meditation, silence, and reflection, we allow the past year to gently settle and welcome the year to come not as a goal to achieve, but as a presence to embody.
This passage is neither an ending nor a beginning. It is a threshold. And when a threshold is truly inhabited, it becomes a place of transformation.
Join us online for the first Café Rumi of 2026, each from our own threshold, with a cup in hand and a shared moment of presence.
Program
- 1 hour of meditation, reading, and reflection around the texts of Rumi.
- 30 minutes will be devoted to participants sharing their wishes and intentions for this new beginning.
During our gathering, we will also hold space for a moment of musical sharing, in harmony with our theme, for those who wish to take part.
