If we could hear Abraham’s voice today, what would it be calling us to?

According to the Qur’anic tradition, Abraham — Ibrāhīm — was commissioned by the Divine Intelligence to call the universal human consciousness, an-nās, to the ḥajj.

Some interpret this call as a set of physical rituals performed around the Ka‘ba at a specific time of the year: the month of Dhū al-Ḥijja, the final month of the lunar calendar.

But others perceive in it a much deeper dimension — a call to an inner pilgrimage, a return to origin, to Unity. A universal message, addressed to every awakened heart.

What if humanity, today, could tune in to the frequency of Abraham’s voice?
What would it be telling us?
What could it awaken within us?

In these days when many people — especially within the Muslim tradition — are commemorating Abraham through the pilgrimage,
I invite us to return to the very source of that foundational call.
A call that predates organized religion,
and seeks to build a space of trust, peace, and connection —
a true universal safe space,
as the word al-īmān suggests in its original, living sense.
